whats the kick with sidekicks  | |  i would really like to know what really makes this phone amazing to most people im thinking on getting one myself but at this point i am unsure if its as good as those i know hype it up to be or not so what do you think?

| | | | | | 1. nikeslamdunk (1)  | 3 months ago |  I recently gave up my sidekick two and bought a sidekick iD off of craigs list for 100 dollars. The sidekick iD is a more simpler version than the other sidekick put out by T-mobile. There is no camera, for example. I bought this phone because i'm absolutely in love with sidekicks because of the web, instant messaging and easy texting with the QWERTY keyboard, yet i have encountered a problem with it. The problem that i have with it is the trackball feature on this phone. It is similar to the ball found in a computer mouse...
- After a few months of normal use the trackball may get stuck and therefore you cannot use that function anymore. (Thank god there are other ways to scroll on this phone!)
- I'm a big user of instan messaging on this phone and sometimes the wireless connection doesn't follow through or the AIM service has a few glitches from time to time. Thus everyone repeatedly gets signed off and on for about an hour.
- Personally the sidekick iD is a bit bulky, the sidekick LX and Slide are better choices if you have 200-400$ to spend!
