I joined Myspace.com

I joined My Space & then left it a few days later. To me it's more like a dating site then anything else. I just wanted a way to stay in touch with my family & friends, share photos..etc. etc. So I opened an account with Multiply & have been with them ever since. I like Multiply I think it's a lot better then My Space.

The majority of friends that I have on myspace were people that I went to school with. So, I wouldn't really have any friends on there either if I didn't already add them during high school. If you are just getting on there, and you are trying to attract friends and meet new people, I would suggest being up front. Go search for someone interesting, send them a message, friend request or whatever. See if they are still interesting after the first few discussions if you get that far. And then, make the choice to delete them or not. Otherwise, yes it is a very lonely atmosphere.

i'm on myspace and its great way for me to keep in contact with my family that lives in another state. I've also reconnected with some friends that I went to school with.

Mylot and Myspace are similar in ways and very different in other ways. I use Myspace for keeping in contact with friends, past & present. Meet new people. And I check out everyone who sends me a request.

I like Mylot for topic postings and stuff, but Myspace is much more visual....more for the chatter box in everyone.

But one plus for Mylot over Myspace is...because of all those visuals my computer slows down but not when I am on here....

I was a member on myspace for about a month, didnt find it interesting or entertaining at all. I am a member at yuwie, and while they are similar i do enjoy the little bit of time i spend on yuwie

I like myspace and mylot for their own reasons. When I first went onto myspace I just added anyone who had a cool looking page. After a while I had a senseless friend list of people I didn't really know. Some people use those 'trains' to get more friends. I'm actually getting pretty picky on friends. Especially the spam type friends requests you have to be careful.
The first thing I did was look up old friends and class mates and add them on. Then you can join some groups and find people with similar interests. I've been a part of myspace for almost 4 years now and Its more of a way to keep in touch with old friends for me. I meet some new people, and I do some work on myspace as well so people tell me they like what I do and everything.
I don't mind adding people on because most just say they are fans or just like my work or have similar interests.

I have had a myspace account for years. On my myspace account is people that I know very well like old friends and family. Mylot is people that I have never met but I value their opinion very much and are really great people.

I never have been interested in my space or facebook because they seem kind of juvenille to me. i might check them out sometime though. I heard better things about my lot than YUwie so I wound up here.

I have myspace too but most of the people on my friends list i knew from other places beforehand. I have only met a few people actually through myspace.

I have the opposite problem: I have too many friends, over 3000 just now, with about 30 requests every week. I think it is because of my blogs and the site itself. If you want to have a look, my site name is elainone. I am trying to lose friends now so I vet all requests carefully because I don't have the time as I used to have in order to maintain my MySpace profile, so I am trying to wind it down. However, I have found MySpace very enjoyable once you get into the friendship mode and send messages and read bulletins etc. It has been quite an experience and it certainly gave me the confidence to manage other stuff on the Internet.
