 I like to sing along with my favorite songs when I'm driving but I only do it when I'm alone or when I'm torturing my daughter because I'm not very good. At least I don't think I'm very good at it. My soon to be daughter-in-law has a beautiful voice and has won local competitions so I do know that I'm not nearly as good as she is on a bad day with a bad cold.

I do like to sing. Unfortunately, I'm not mean enough to subject people to my croakings, nor am I thick skinned enough not be embarassed about how horrible I sound.
So I guess, I'll just always, and will be, a closet shower singer.

| spalladino (4887) | 8 months ago | One of my older daughters took Chorus in high school and loved it but the teacher did not love my daughter's singing and actually called me to tell me that she was switching her out of her class. When I asked why she said that my daughter was going to ruin their chances at winning some competition since she sang off key. I told her that I was sorry about the competition but my daughter's feelings were more important than a trophy. I suggest that she move her to the back, away from the mics, work with her and even tell her that she's a bit off key but that she was not to even hint to my daughter that she was not welcome there. | |
