I got a piercing.......  | |  I went to a tattoo parlor a few weeks ago and got a piercing. The guy charged me 40.00 to give me that peircing. I thought that he was a little different when he started talking to me, but i thought that he was just trying to keep me calm. I got my naval pierced, and even though he was professional it was a little odd.
After the piercing was done I began to notice some things that he had done wrong. For one he had the piercing way to long, I can't fit a regular barbell in it. Also instead of like Neosporin to put on it he told me to put tea bags on it. I asked around and as it turns out he has very questionable methods.
On top of it all I had bought a barbell from Spencers and he told me I was not allowed to wear it because it was made in China, and let me know to only wear barbells made in the USA. What's up with that? I checked around and Spencers sells really nice barbells and they are surgical steel and that's what you need for a piercing. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Tell me about your piercings, hopefully your first went better than mine did.

But I have never heard of putting tea bags or neosporn I was told to use sea salt and water and soak it. And I have also been told not to use jewelry from spencers. I was told that the jewelry isn't very good so I have just stuck with buying jewelry from a piercing shop.

He told you not to wear piercings from China because they contain a higher amount of lead then those made in the U.S. Maybe if it is that important to you that he messed up you should go tell him he messed up.
