Do you like Debate?

I would say that I enjoy a light debate. In terms of when my brother and I have differing opinions on a subject and just banter back and forth. No hard feelings.

As for watching debate. Not my style.

I enjoy debating as long as it doesn't lead into an arguement. I understand people all have different opinions and you can learn something by listening to what they have to say, even if you don't agree with them

Yes, I do participate in debate if the discussion is being done politely and intelligently. It should be a debate where the participants respect each other despite differences in opinions. I also participate only on issues I really know and have extensive knowledge and on issues I feel I could really manage to speak and stand at my best. One thing that I always remember when debating is to always keep my wisdom, stand for whatever is right no matter what and to maintain my poise in whatever circumstances. When I feel that other party is not getting sensible anymore,,, I cut the debate short by politely begging off for reasons I feel the debate is no longer a healthy one and hence not worth my precious while.

Hello dear Bebs. I love to watch and listen to people debate whether it is pro or con as I think that it is interesting and I can learn a lot from their debate, but I don't want to participate in debate because I am not good at debating at all. To just watch and listen is good enough for me. I appreciate your discussion, Bebs.

hello,:D, well, like you I don't like also debate, but I also like to listened to them. It's really enjoying and also I get some knowledge from both sides and really interesting to know which sides will I agree or what are the things I may or may not agree. I agree, it's very captivating watching or listening to a debate. But I really don't like to participate, I don't think I am good in depending my opinions, especially in a very aggressive opponents. lol.

I only like debating here in forums since I could express my side. I haven't experience this but of course only in school and yet that is too formal. I like listening to the debates too and there was a time that there was an episode or a show like this but I don't know what happened that is why I can't see it anymore. Maybe I think it is now good to have a debate show like that so that we can see and learn something from affirmative to negative sides too. I don't know if I had this confident to join the debate in person but in this forum of course I can do so. It is a different feeling for having debate in forum and in person.
