Calling ALL Multiple Mums!!  | |  Hi there
I know there are loads of multiple mums out there. Let me know where you are, how many kids you have, were they naturally conceived or IVF babies. Did the pregnancy go well, etc...
I'm really keen to form friendships with other multiple mums.
For myself, I had a single pregnancy in 2003 - which I firmly believe was actually a twin preg but I lost one of them very early on. No proof so we will let that one go.
Pregnancy #2 came along soon after and my beautiful twins were born in 2005 - a mere 2 years and 1 month after #1.
#2 Pregnancy was a natural pregnancy and it was shock of epic proportions when the lady doing the ultrasound informed us that there were '2 in there'. I didn't believe her! Our first comment to each other was 'we will need a bigger car!'
The pregnancy was healthy, except that I had problems with my pelvis - which luckily we managed to keep under control. Then at about 30 weeks I got cholestasis - where you get really itchy. It is a liver problem which poses little or no danger to me, but for the babies - well - they could have died at any time, SO, for the next 4 weeks I found myself in hospital being monitored all the time and having blood tests every second day.
In the end after 2 days of induction at 35 weeks, I had a c-section (after I insisted on it) and my babies spent their first 14 days in the NICU (intensive care). Long story short - they both came through it OK and are now healthy, happy almost 3 year olds.
We were very lucky since we could have lost both of them.

| | | | | | | | 1.  ruby222 (2549) | 6 months ago |  My story is a simple one,thirty two years ago I had twin daughters,a normal and natuarl birth,they were born seven weeks early and they weighed three pounds twelve ounces and four pounds,and lol they were like little dollies,all the clothes were too big for them!and I had to try to knit some premature clothes,but they were worth every bit of it all.

| | 2.  lkoenig07 (282) | 4 months ago |  I am a mom of twins!! They were my first children, which I just had this past March. They were conceived naturally... it was quite the shocker! The pregnancy went great (besides being exhausted & feeling the crap half of the time). I went 38 weeks, and still had to beg my dr. to give me a c-section because I was sick of being pregnant (those last 2 months or so were just horrible). I am glad to hear both of you babies turned out to be okay!

 violetdreams (320) | 4 months ago | Congrats on your twins! Well done for carrying them to 38 weeks - I only managed 35! I presume you had no complications and both your babies are doing well now? What did you have - boy/girl? ID or non-ID?
Yeah, I am glad my 2 turned out Ok too - it was very worrying at the time I can tell you!
