Have you tried the new Cheesy Double Beef Burritos at Taco Bell? |
|
Since Taco Bell changed the way it seasons its meat (wetter, a bit more chili powder), I haven't eaten there as much. I can't say that I like the new wet meat mix they use. But, I was hungry yesterday after getting my driver's license renewed and shopping for some things for Mom, and didn't want the same old thing, so I went to Taco Bell. Well, the first thing that caught my eye was on their value menu - Cheesy Double Beef Burrito $.89. Nice - loads of cheese, beef and rice in a flour tortilla. Sounds good. So, that's what I got. Let me tell you - I was very impressed. Not so much with the service since I ordered and paid for TWO but only got ONE, but that one was actually VERY good. I would be willing to return for another - definitely. Have you tried these? Do you have a favorite item at Taco Bell? Do you like the changes they've made in their meat blend?? Tell one, tell all - do they float your boat or do they sink your battleship???

1. coolgadget (615) | 8 months ago | i am not really sure if we have taco bell in the philippines. if can we have one i will surely want to try it out. but i am intrigued with the price. are you sure it is only 89 cents. or maybe it just typo. and should be 89$. which in case could be really expensive. or maybe $8.90. anyways, what can we eat in price of 89 cents . If there is no taco bell yet i am sure that there will be soon a taco bell here. cause most international food chain we have here in the philippines too. anyways, i really don't eat that often. but i will surely i want to eat in taco bell just because you hve told us that it is really a very good one. i usually don't eat if i am not really sure that the place has a very good food.

jerzgirl (1899) | 8 months ago | Oh, they are all over the world now, just like KFC and McDonalds, although maybe not quite as many of them and maybe not in every country. But, yes, I was talking about 89 cents. A very affordable treat!! But, in some countries, they set prices according to whatever is traditional. When we were in England, the prices looked like they similar to ours, but with the exchange rate, we ended up paying almost double what we'd have paid at home. So, it's hard to say what equivalent price they'd have in the Philippines, if they're there. But, thanks for responding. I hope you do get a chance to try them.

2. scaplusrevenge (57) | 8 months ago | For me, when you want something new to eat, I go for Taco Bell. That new Cheesy Double Beef Burritos is pretty good looking for you and that wallet of yours. If you want something fancy, I'd go for the Crunch wrap Supreme - like heaven on earth with every bite (not mentioning the hot sauce which is another story). Top that off with a cold drink, wooo, go Taco Bell!

jerzgirl (1899) | 8 months ago | Oh, I have definitely tried the Crunch Wrap Supreme....minus hot sauce (put a penny in one - see what happens). It is very good, but I was in the mood for something with more filling, less dough, and that burrito did the trick for me. Glad to see that you enjoy their food, though. They were the first place I worked for when I moved away from home. They hadn't even come to NJ yet.

3. lilybug (11209) | 8 months ago | I have not tried it yet. I have not eaten at Taco Bell in a long time. My favorite thing there has always been the Cheesy Gordita Crunch with extra baja sauce and the Mexican pizza with no beans and no tomato.

jerzgirl (1899) | 8 months ago | The Mexican pizza is pretty good. I'd pretty much eat it all, although if they left off the tomatoes, I wouldn't cry. I don't eat them by themselves. I like the Gorditas in general, but don't recognize the Cheesy Gordita Crunch.

lilybug (11209) | 8 months ago | It is a crunchy taco with baja sauce on it with a gordita flat bread wrapped around it with melted 3 cheese blend on it.
