1/2 of FL delegates will be seated... should they be? |
|
The DNC just decided that Florida's DNC delegates will be represented at the convention, but they will only get half a vote. Do you think that FL delegates should not be sent to the convention, do you think they should be sent there with a whole vote, or do you think that the DNC decision is about fair? do you think that it will change the situation? I personally don't, and I agree with the DNC's decision.

Taskr36 (2840) | 8 months ago | I didn't break any rules. Why shouldn't my vote as a Floridian count? Do you really think that the voters of Florida had any part in the decision to change the date of the primaries?

2. anniepa (6856) | 8 months ago | I think it's the most fair solution they could have come up with. There's no way it could have been fair to count every vote because it wasn't a fair election, pure and simple. Obviously there are those who disagree with this decision but I think it was the right one. Annie

oneandonemakesix (24123) | 8 months ago | Well Annie, I am one that disagrees with you, while it was the fairest decision tht they could have made, I have to say right now that I don't think the delegates should ahve counted at all, it gave no sense to even seat them at all. The problem I have is the democratic party just said you can violate teh rules and get away with it. And sadly to say I don't think its over yet, Hillary wants all the votes, all the delegates, and its just not going to happen, but when the rules committee meets I think we can be assured that she is going to cry foul, and it wouldn't surprise me if she tries to get the rules changed to work to her advantage in 2012. anniepa (6856) | 8 months ago | There's really nothing she can do to make it go to her advantage. She lost, she lost in the delegates that were voted for as well as the popular vote. I do hope they change the rules before the next election though so there can be no allegations of voters being disenfranchised. Annie

3. carebears (877) | 8 months ago | The DNC members are sexist pigs that do not want Clinton to win the race so they decided the deligates would be half a vote at the convention and they gave Obama a bunch of deligates in Michigan even though his name wasn't on the ballot, those sexist pigs were doing anything to bring Obama closer to the nomination. They did anything they could to cheat Hillary and her supporters.
