Do you ever get those bumps on your tongue?

I think they are caused by irritation, I've gotten those from sucking on jawbreakers when i was a kid. But i can't say for sure the real cause! Best of luck finding out though!

I've always heard that too. My grandmother would tell us we needed a laxative. But she also said that if you had a sore in your mouth, your breath was unusually bad, you were cranky, your face broke out and so on.....I miss her something awful lol.

My mom told me it was because I didn't have enough vitamin C and would give me an orange. In a couple of days the bump was gone and didn't return as long as I ate some citrus every day.

I have no idea what causes the little bumps on your tongue. I am almost positive that your mother was the one that was lying. Who knows though, she could be right and we all just have no idea.

Yeah that sucks cause sometimes those stupid things hert I get them sontimes from sucking on sour candy. Mabey it is the sugars or salts.

Yes, not as often as when I was younger, as I think I figured out the acidic foods that causes them!

I get little white bumps on my tongue from time to time. At one point i was worried about them so i went to a dr about them. He told me they were blocked salivary glands. If i recall correctly they (the bumps) are called sialoliths (or saliva gland stones). He told me they are caused by irritations to the tongue..things like eating salty or spicy foods, some medications, allergic reactions. He also said they go away on their own.

I'm not sure if those are the bumps you are talking about. I also get one on my tongue occasionally from biting my tongue.
