new u.k. rulings with regard to psychics,tarot etc.  | |  On may 26th 2008 a new law came in to force in the u.k.,which states that all psychics,healers,tarot card readers,mediums clairvoyents,etc etc etc............HAVE TO..state that their work is for entertainment purposes only and is not scientifically proven. If not they can be fined upto £5000,and face 2years imprisonment.I am a pagan i live my life by the laws of nature,respect for life and all connections to it.Psychic work is a natural process we are all capable of.This to me feels like a 21st century witch hunt, and i for one will not denounce my beliefs in the pagan religion. It has been said that this law will stop charlatons preying on the weak and vunerable! on the contary it has opened the doors wide for unscrupouls people as they can just state for entertainment only,and not face any come back. Plus the people whom use psychics etc,come to us of their own choice. Your views would be greatly appreciated good or bad!! this just makes me so very angry.

Maybe it is a good thing ... it is not saying that you have to renounce your beliefs or anything. Even though it is stated that it is for entertainment only ... the reader and the person that is being read knows differently. Some people do go to readers and psychics etc just for entertainment and some on a more serios side of business. That is just how the law works I guess ... don't let it bother you too much.
