Need your thoughts...

You are right there are many 'similar' discussions on mylot, and even using the search engine doesn't always bring up the discussions you want, seen that one too.

But anyway I have to say right now that all you can do is if you see them and I try to do this as well is try to respond to them and give a slightly different answer, reword and recycle as I call it.

But while I have an extensive friends list I have to say right now that I do spend the majority of my time responding ot friends,

I'm in discussions with no responses because my eyes are hurting from searching for discussions and back and forth.

But if you request friends, most will add you, many like me will make sure you are going ot be active and give quality discussions and responses for a few days and then add you.

So don't be afraid to request friends as well.

That's it in a nutshell. Good friends are such an asset.

I observed that too, having more friends means more response to discussions because of the notifications that we are receiving.

How I wish it goes as simple as that. As importantly as having many friends I believe it will still boils down to a good topic where every one could easily relate to. If I could only find that very elusive magic formula...

I think most of us noticed that. And guess what it also happens to me when I was new here in mylot. I posted a topic but I got a few responses and another person here in mylot used my topic and because he's "professional" here and got tons of friends he make it to the top discussion. It's really disgusting! But we can't control that since we can't force anyone here to respond to us. The only thing to do is maybe ask mylot to delete those discussions with similar topic of maybe merge those discussion.
