Elvis  | |  I was 10 years old staying at my sisters house when we heard the news that Elvis had died.I remember well my sister and I crying.She was older then me by 11 years and more my mother then my sister.I can remember her rocking me when I was little to an Elvis album she had.She said that when I was a baby she would often waltz with me on her should to many of his songs she said I would hum along as if trying to sing with him.I don't remember that of course.But to this day I listen to Elvis and it always makes me think of her and how much I love her.
Does anyone have a good Elvis memory to share I wold love to hear from you?

When he died I remember him as a king with glitter, a failed idol who had somehow lost his way. He was the greatest but the Beatles made him irrelevant.

| | | 2. vision2win (138) | 3 months ago |  It was the last concert I ever attended in Jacksonville, FL. I was 18 years old. He had just finished his concert. I was up in the balcony. I shouted for him to come over so I could take pictures. He heard me and actually climbed up on some speakers, so I could get a good shot of him. He spread opened his cape and I started shooting. Then I waved hi to him and he blew me a kiss!
Sadly... My experience was to only be memorialized in my head. I headed back to my hotel room, where I accidently dropped my camera on the ground. The camera opened up and my film was exposed to the street lights. And as you guessed it...the pictures were erased. I cried for weeks!
However... I will always remember what he did for me. And the kindness and trouble he went through, to let me snap a picture of him...
