Global Oil Price Hits Record $139 a Barrel

I'm actually seeing gas prices zooming up towards $5 pretty easily. Prices are increasing at least ten cents a day where I live. I have started to ride my bike whenever possible. Problem is that I have some health problems and I have to make sure I don't overexercise or it can make it worse. I've been thinking of taking public transportation more, but the price of that is going up, too. It always costs more to take public transportation than it does to drive my car.

I don't know if there is anything we can do to combat these high oil prices. The only thing I can tell people to do is vote in November, and ask your representatives what they want to do about our oil problems. If you don't agree with them, then vote them out. If they aren't doing their job, then they need to be replaced. We need to take back control of the white house from the oil companies, and put someone in there that won't be their puppet, like Bush.

I just stopped driving around. I have to think twice now before I take my car keys.
I minimized my driving to same spending I used to have one year ago.
So far, I am not happy about like most of us.

I saw that on the news also, I am planning on taking public transportation from next week. It's going to mean adding an extra 30 mins to my long commute, but I cannot afford it anymore. I am concern we might hit the $5.00 rate very soon.

I effects every one every where, becouse this price hike every thing more castier, i know how i am managing my family, it is very bad for me and it create alots of problem for me.

this is going backfire on oil producing countries who are getting their goods from outside.We are going to see a world with total chaos and pandemonium!!!!

I am not driving as much as in the past. We used to take alot of trips on the weekends. We have not been doing that as much. There's really not much you can do,but try to live as fuel effciently as possible. I aslo get gas at Costco where it is cheaper.

Better buy yourself a good bicycle, I tell you!

This prize won't get lower fast. Not before new energy source development. Maybe cold fusion will work? I hope so...

We drive far less than we otherwise would. We combine tasks to help make each outing more efficient. We walk when it's a reasonable choice.
