Naming a new kitten  |

 Last month my father found a tiny kitten in his yard. We guessed its age around 3 weeks. Well guess who got the kitten - me. LOL As if I need another. I am one of those people that some would call "the crazy cat lady." No, I'm not a hoarder. I haven't reached that level and don't plan to. And yes, they are all well fed and cared for. But here I am with a kitten I've been calling "Baby" for three weeks, and I just can't seem to come up with a name for him. He is going to be a long haired cat, and it seems he is going to be a small one. He is all black except for one very tiny spot on his chest, which is white. His eyes are a deep gold color. I'm looking for something different in a name, something unique. I could do the usual and name him Midnight like so many other ones out there, but I want something special for this tiny ball of fur. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have a cat named Fraggle, because her whiskers are long like those characters on the old puppet show Fraggle Rock. I have a cat named Skeeter just because my mom liked it and thought he was terribly tiny. Funny thing is ne now weighs over 20 lbs and is quite the fat cat. | |

Usually in my house with all of our animals, we name them something and then call them something completely diffrent.
Most recently i got a one year old cat from one of my grandmother's friends because she was going to put it to sleep and i jumped in. Its name is pogie, but it is now called Puggy or plucky. Maybe name it schnogglykins?=P

I think it is cute when someone has a really big animal and give it a girly name or a tiny animal with a name so huge it weights it down. hahaha What did you end up naming him?

| TessWhite (881) | 2 months ago | Well.... he ended up named Snoopy, but not by me. I already had 7 cats when the little one showed up. A neighbor of mine recently lost her husband and was telling me how lonely she was, so I offered the kitten to her, and she chose his name. I still miss him (he has been gone from my home two weeks now) but I know he is bringing alot of joy to a very lonely old lady. I told her if anything ever changes and she can't keep him (she is 85 years old) to let me know and I'll take him back. | |

She is old and lonely and needed this, and she is getting alot of pleasure from him. I miss him still, but know I did the right thing. i know someone who found a newborn kitten at the beach. it was just able to squeeze through the bag opening which contained a rock...i'm not even gonna think about it...in a big pile of driftwood and that was his name: driftwood.
did you find him near something in the yard? a tree? a bush?

| TessWhite (881) | 1 month ago | LOL Actually I had settled on Piper, but then didn't end up keeping him. My neighbor who was a friend of my mom's lost her husband last year. He died on July 28th and my mom died on the 29th. This lady was very lonely after losing her husband and my mom's friendship, so I asked her if she would like to have him for company. She was thrilled with him and gets alot of enjoyment out of him. She has chosen the name Snoopy. I don't think it fits, but he is her cat now, not mine. She is a sweet lady, but very elderly. I told her if at any point she couldn't keep him to let me know and I'd take him back. | |
