So, quad cores or dual cores may give the same performance on the single thread applications.

N i can really say its awesome
But then at the same time..Payin taht much for it at this pt of time is advisable only if you re realy really a tech freak like that friend of mine or you do liek some hardcore job on the comp which needs dam lot of cpu resources

| 5. gameswonderer (92) | 5 months ago |  well actually one of my friends bought a quad core system lately and he had some problems at the beging and now that they are fixed he told me that it doesn't make any really big diference not one worth of so much money at least but of coarse they have good electricity consuption and small heat production so if you don't really care about the cost drawback they are a good choice

apps that are optimized for multi cores will benifit from it but others wont...apps like photoshop and 3D imaging stuffs benefit greatrly..
but quads also consume more power and generate more heat...so choose it only if u need the extra cores..
