How Did You Learn To Drive???

I was lucky enough that the school I attended at the time offered a drivers ed. course. By taking it, my car insurance rate would be lowered for having taken the class. As much as the class taught me, it was nothing like hands on experience. For that, I had my mom. My dad tried to teach me to drive, but he had very little patience. With my mom, learning was a breeze. I still hate parallel parking though.

I learned two wheeler myself,but i learned driving a car from a driving school.

My parents started me by letting me go back and forth in the driveway. Then I took Driver's Education in high school. We had class lessons and lessons in the car. It was very good.

Nobody taught me to drive a two wheeler. My father gave me the vehicle and asked me to ride in an uncrowded road. I too was very confident. I drove the vehicle well and was very successful. But to drive a four wheeler, I went to a driving class. Because I felt that everything was new with a four wheeler. A two wheeler does not have complicated procedures and is similar to a bi-cycle.But for a car, we have lots of things that has to be known. Though I have seen my father,husband and my sister driving a car, I went to a driving class to get a professional learning. I succeeded with my license also..

My husband was so insistent that I learn how to drive, so he was the one who taught me...of course, as was expected, we had our bouts of quarrels and shouting matches until I finally learned to drive. There was a time that it became so acute that I swore that I'd give up learning how to drive. He has no patience, and got irritated when I got it the wrong way, expecting that I learn to drive on our first session! So I freaked out, and threatened to discontinue learning how to drive, stressing that I was not interested. Of course, he had to persuade me to continue--I HAD to learn how to drive since no one can because during that time, our two kids were yet children. Fortunately today, I am a relatively good driver; been driving for around 18 years, thanks to my husband, whose insistence finally paid off after almost a month of practice.
