how young is too young

In my opinion a mature girl of 16 can start wearing makeup if she really wants to but I seriously believe someone who is experienced in the field of cosmetology should teach every girl how to put on makeup the correct way. Sometimes girls put on their own makeup and don't know how to do it and put on too much rouge or eyeliner and don't look good but look like they're asking for it. You know what I mean, and sometimes they don't know what they're asking for and get into trouble. So, when makeup is applied the way its supposed to be, anyone can look like a lady or very distiguished and can make them have higher self esteem. That's my opinion. Good luck here on MyLot.

It is according to how much make-up. A little mascara and lip gloss was okay at 13 for my girls. A little (and i stress a little) eyeshadow and blush was added at 15 for special occasions (school functions). After that different cosmetics was added as needed. That is the way they learned to use makeup without a huge battle after they caked globs of the stuff on.

I personally don't believe in wearing makeup, but I don't see any problem with a girl wearing a tiny little bit of it at 13, or 14, just not that much. I don't think adults should wear that much either. LOL

Yes,usually we can see many little grils dressed up like young women on the streets or in the Tv programs.Obviously this is not conductive to the growth of children because they will confuse their identities easily.Children should be naive,so I do not propose girls dressing up prematurely,they should keep their nature.And they can make a choice when they on the community.

Oy VEY!!! God so knew what He was doing when He gave me boys! I rarely wear make-up. A young lady needs to know how to care for her skin well before she should be allowed to wear make-up. Putting it on without it looking over-done is only a small part of it...she needs to know how to take it off so her skin stays healthy. I don't think its unreasonable for a 16 year old to be allowed to wear powder and lip gloss, maybe a bit of blush. I don't every wear any more than this and I don't even use lip gloss...I use chapstick, LOL.... I keep modest, so, well...like I said, its probably good that I have boys.

I think a girl should start wearing makeup when she is going to work for money.That means after she finishes her studying and begins to earn money,then she can start wearing makeup.
