R estoring the sense that our most precious things
A re those that do not change much over time.
N o love of childhood is more sublime,
D emanding little, giving on demand,
M ore inclined than most to grant the wings
O n which we fly off to enchanted lands.
T hough grandmothers must serve as second mothers,
H elping out with young and restless hearts,
E ach has all the patience wisdom brings,
R emembering our passions more than others,
S oothing us with old and well-honed arts.

Gee, thanks a lot!!! LOL
I find very gratifying when my grandchildren say I´m "cool" or a "reliable person". It´s funny because I don´t let them do half the things my daughters let them, yet they find me "younger in spirit" that theit "old ladies".
they sure make me laugh.

Keep it up grandma. You are as young as your thoughts, and obviously you are very young at heart. When grandchildren say you are cool, it means a lot of love and oneness with the kids. Wonderful knowing this.

that's a wonderful definition of a grandmother. it must be really wonderful to have one. i wasn't able to experience being taken care of a grandmother because my grandparents from my mother's and father's side were dead even before i was born. so i didn't experience the pleasure of having grandparents. until now, i sometimes wonder how it is to be spoiled and taken care of by a grandparent. happy

Yes, Grandmothers are real fun and I have had real good times with them. Though they were old, they never made us feel a burden and were always there for me. You have missed out on a beautiful relationship. Anyway, thanks a million.

Grandmas are great! my mom is a grandmom to 5 boys. can you imagine it years from now they would all be grown up and would shower mom with so much attention, cutie boys with grandma.
