How big is your family?

my father has 11 siblings. my mom has 5 siblings. you can imagine how many cousins and nephews and nieces i have... then my husband's dad has 6 or 7 siblings and his mom has 4. so he's got a lot too.

i have two brothers. my older brother has 2 daughters and 2 sons. my younger brother has one son.

now my husband and i have a son and a daughter, both under the age of 6. they're familiar with most of my family members and relatives and some of my husband's cause they live far from where we are.

when i think about it now that you started this topic, i should make a family tree for my kids to see their roots. and also find out who they know and don't know yet.:)

I grew up the youngest of a family with 3 boys and 3 girls. We had wonderful times as kids. My mother passed away at a very young age and then everything changed from there - my dad owned his own business and commuted home on the weekends only so when that happened, things shifted dramatically. I was then raised by my grandmother, my sister closest to me in age lived with a distant aunt, and my other brothers and sisters lived in our home and took care of themselves for the most part since they were already in high school and/or out of high school. It's sad because my grandmother always reunited the family during holidays, but she passed away December of 01. But now I have my family and we are super close and close to my husband's side of the family.

I have two brothers and seven sisiters, I am the 6th. So, my parents have 10 sublings.
My wife side has six sisters and one brother. She is No. two in the line but eldest in girl.

My father was the youngest of seven. My mother is the oldest of 13. I have a lot of cousins on both sides. I have 4 brothers and all are married. I'm the 4th of 5 and the only girl and not yet married. My eldest brother has two children. The second brother has 6 children. The third brother has 4 children. And our youngest brother has 2 children. I'm living with my aunt (my dad's sister, who's the 5th of seven and the only one who did not marry among the 7).

My husband is the oldest of two. His younger brother, Jack has a daughter and a son.

I am the youngest of four girls. My oldest sister, Cahty has two daughters. My next sister Connie has a son and a daughter. My next sister Cindy has one son and three daughters.

My husband and I have one son.

My family moved around a lot when I was a child and as a result we were never really close to our cousins. Then me and my sisters ended up spread all over the country and our kids have not grown up close with each other.

My dear nanajanet, I am so sorry to read about the loss of your son. I know you must enjoy your granddaughter living with you and hope that you find strength in the love you are able to share with her daily.

My mother and myself were both without brothers or sisters.My father had one sister who had 2 daughters and between them have 3 children.I have 3 children also.
Our family is very small with all my grandparents having passed away as well as my father.

we are a big family too.My parents have more than eleven siblings and all of them are married and have two-three children.So I have many cousins apart of my own brothers and sisters.It is a very close knit family and you can call it a joint family because we all live nearby and and everyday we meet and interact.well,almost.

I am the only child to my parents, So my children miss maternal aunts, uncles and their families. I had six uncles and one aunt who are no more. We are three at home plus 2 cats and 1 dog. and lots of mylot friends!

I am the second out of 4 daughters my parents have. My eldest sister has 3 kids, I have 3 kids also, my younger sister passed away without having any child yet, and my youngest sister is still single. My father passed away when I am still at my secondary high school. At present, my eldest sister lives with her family not far from my mother's house and I also live with my husband and kids nearby. My mother is now only lives with her single youngest daughter in her house. My mother often feels lonely as when my sister goes to work, she will stay alone at home. When the children grow up, usually, as parents we will be lonely.
