How do you stop TNA pain?  | |  I have Trigeminal Neuralgia since I was 12 years old. I've had long years of suffering and I've never actually talked with another patient that has trigeminal neuralgia too. I'm well now, I'm eating, talking, and sometimes I can even wash my teeth on the TNA side. I just wonder if anyone has had TNA or has a close friend or relative sith TNA. I would love to talk with you and see how you've coped with it and what medicines you take. Most importantly if anyone has knowledge of a person who has been cured of TNA, I would like to know how the process, operation, treatment, etc.

My neurologist prescribed Tegretol (carbamazepine) and Lyrica (I forgot what it was) so that is what I am taking now. She is also encouraging me to undergo gammaknife surgery but I got cold feet. I worry about the side effects.
You say you are well now. How did you get cured?
