Do you hand wash your clothes?

I rely on my machine to wash the clothes. I don't have the time to wash them by hand. I remember when I was younger my aunt had an old washing tub and a roller, and did her clothes all by hand. I tried it one time with her and it was hard work to roll all those clothes through the ringer.

We have a washing machine to do the laundry, but because of the very expensive cost of electricity my wife do the laundry by hand everyday so it won't pile up. She still use the machine but for bed sheets and comforters only. This is one way of making the clothes lasts a little and to lower the bills.

It depends. If I'm just washing regular pants and shirts I just turn on the machine. If I'm washing expensive lingerie or clothes, I usually hand wash as directed. Hand washing all your clothes would take a considerable time, I can't even imagine hand washing that much laundry! Usually I just follow the directions on the tag.

I hate handwashing clothes - it's such a hassle and it really does give you dish pan hands if you do it often enough. I usually buy low-maintenance clothes that don't require dry-cleaning or handwashing. I also don't like to buy super expensive clothes so that if the machine does wreck them, I won't feel as bad. I like to throw everything into the washing machine and dryer if I can. Now, though, I'll throw stuff into the washing machine but I'll sort out the items that shouldn't be thrown in the dryer to prevent shrinking. Even doing that, I resent. I wish manufacturers made all clothes to be low maintenance so they wouldn't shrink or pull if you put it through the machines. I will on occasion handwash really delicate items, but I do it begrudgingly.

Depends on the item of clothing..I usually do by machine but if its delicates then hand washing is the way i go...

I hand wash intimates as well as tops made of finer material. I do this to make sure nothing snags on the machine and that if anything happens to my clothes it'll be my fault and no one else's. Otherwise, someone else does the laundry for us. Using the machine will make my clothes shrink which is bothersome because I don't get shorter and thinner but fatter and taller!I do notice that the machine makes my jeans fade faster. I don't really know why this happens.

Why should I handwash my clothes,when I have a washing machine?

I only start ashin my on clothes just this year and I"m doing it manually.I enjoy washing clothes with my bare hands.

I don't often wash my clotes. My wife and daughters often washed my clothes instead.They wash clothes with their hands,not machines.We all think the clothes machines worked are not clean. So they wash clothes by their hands.

In India people in most of the houses, we do hand washing only. Only now a days, people have started using washing machine. In my place, even today, my people do hand wash only.
