I took zoloft for 8 years finally off for good. Its been. 2 months

Very good. Its difficult to stop antidepressant. Its been a long time for you, about 8 year and its good that you are feeling better. You need to taper the dose before you leave, and i am sure you would have done that. Welcome to the world of fun. Congradualtions.

I quit cold turkey the withdrawls lasted about 6 weeks from brain zaps to crying for days it was horrible.

in running days its best use in anti-depressant!!!

i havent had any probs going off of things but i dont get addicted to meds either.. (not saying you were but for the ones that have a hard time might be) but i did have probs with certain meds making me have seizures (went off three strong ones at once) and on geodon i felt like i was having withdrawls but my shrink said that was impossible*rolls eyes* but thats not a anti-depressant.. i think it just depends on if you are on other meds at the same time.. quitting others at the same time.. and how long you have been on them.. congrats on feeling great!! some meds just arent good for people to take long term.. i was on zoloft for.. hmm.. 6+ months but it stopped working on me.. but when it did work it was great!!
