Waiting To See A Specialist

Hi there my friend...I really don't know what to say to this...I guess on one hand you were hoping that by getting the go ahead for the surgery and would solve a lot of your problems...but I'm glad the specialist thought otherwise and that it would only cause more problems for you. And I'm sure you don't want that. What kind of serious feet and leg conditions do you have anyway? I hope I don't sound completely off the wall here..but as you remember I've had a lot of problems with my feet and ankle joints...I've been taking that Glucosamine stuff and I remember you were too, but it just wasn't helping me. I've been reading up what natural way to help my problems..and you're going to die laughing at this....cherries...yup, cherries..I read it's a great natural cure for any kind of arthritic, gout, and joint pain...So just recently cherries came out and I've been buying them like crazy and eat a handful everyday...the results have been short of a minor miracle...I haven't taken any pain killers in ages since I've eaten the cherries, and while I'm still not ready to tap dance here ...LOL..I've been feeling so much better..so maybe you should give it a shot..let me know specifically what medical term for your feet and legs...maybe I can find something else for it..

I am so sorry that the surgeon could not help you but on the other hand I am glad he was honest and did not cut on your just to cut.
I hope your family doctor can help you with the pain control. Pain control is tricky form not enough pain meds to to much pain meds.
I am sorry you have to go through this. I hope you can get some relief.
I had graves disease which is thyroid diease and was suppose to wait from June to Halloween for an appointment. It is hyperthyroidism. I was a nervous wreck from having to much thyroxin in my blood. By october came around I could have been dead. My doctor called my insurance and yelled at them to either have the doctor see me sooner or let me see someone else because if I died before a he could see me she was going to sue them for the family! I got in in two weeks.

I am so sorry the surgeon cannot help your legs.
At least he was honest with you.
And didnt try talking you into an op that could be worse for your health.
I wonder if there are some natural remedies you can take for you leg.
Some of them are very good.

I only go to the public hospital to see any surgeons,
I have never had to wait long at long.
No more then about 3 weeks.
Have always been booked into hospital within 2 weeks, to have any ops.
Mind you I suppose 2 of them were urgent.

I hope you can find something to help you with the pains in your legs.

I truly never dreamed that it might be fatal if you had surgery on your knees due to your other leg condition!!
I hope that you can find a specialist that can help you with the other condition at least even if you never have the knee surgery only my fear is that you will become wheelchair bound at some point and you are so young for these types of problems However, if it makes you feel any better I ran into a customer at work who admitted her age to me and she is two years younger than you and needs a cane....
Still, I wish that they could have done something (In a way) As this definitely puts a different light on this in my thinking...I'm still trying to absorb this from our conversation on Tuesday!

I pray for you because I know what you are going thru, I myself got some bad news just the other day from my Doctor,you see I used to have a dicease called Rhuematic fever when I was 4 years old and I was not able to walk for a whole year. you see this dicease causes severe pain in the joints and when I seen my doctor he was very straaight forward with me and told my husband and I that I am showing signs of this dicease again. I haven't been able to walk on my own for a few weeks now well for one is that I possibly have broken pieces of cartilegis in my right knee and the other is that I have arthritis all over my body now. and it is hard for me because I am to have a special test done to me but I am not able to due to we don't have medical insurance. I can't get any help from the Goverment because my husband makes to much money and his employer does not offer any kind of medical insurance. but I just wanted to let you know that you wil be in my prayers and I hope that you get well soon.

i dreaded the moment when im the next one to be attend to by the doctor..im not scared to them but scared of the results of it....i often waited for atleast three hours...thats how many patients my specialist are..and that sometimes i had to look for another obgyne just to be quick and if i think im not contented then i had to wait again for another couple of hours and i hate it..but got no choice if i really want to be sure..and that sometimes my husband will told me that it deserve the waiting i guess than to look for another..and i agree...(im stubborn sometimes)

My husband has some great doctors and he usually doesn't have to wait long for an appointment with a specialist.. The doctor made one with a nephrologist just a couple of days ago and he will see him within a month.. He is also seeing another specialist for his legs and circulation also.. He is treated very fairly and seen in a timely manner almost 90% of the time.. I do have sympathy for you with your leg and knee problems as he is having a great bit of trouble with his also.. He has had 5 stents put into his stomach for the circulation to his legs and they are closed up again, his next step is to have bypass surgery and it is supposed to be very dangerous, more dangerous than bypass for your heart.. He also has arthritis in his knees and spurs behind his knees.. He is supposed to walk as much as possible to try and open the smaller veins to try and do a type of bypass which will help his circulation naturally without the surgery.. He hurts so badly when he has to walk far but he has to try.. He also has one kidney and the other is 50% blocked.. we are naturally scared but keep going every day and hoping for the best. I believe the biggest surprise that we ever had from a doctor visit was when we learned that one of his kidneys had died and we were never aware of it at all.. With the help of the Good Lord, we keep going on and I am so glad that we have Him to depend on, we could't do it alone.. God bless you and I hope things work out well for you..

lately I have been getting really good service in getting
appointments in a reasonable length of time. I also was
told that knee surgery for my arthitis was a waste of
time as the broken pieces of small cartilage would reabsorb
any way and I just had severe arthriis so had cortisone shots and'I get bye. today I saw my doctor again for myshingles and'he
put me back on valtrex for a week so hope that does the trick.

Mom I am also happy that he did not do it
I know it means you have to live with the Pain but if he gives you advise on how the best way is then I am sure you will manage
Well the longest I had to wait was 15 Months and it has only just now been sorted
