Is US dollar still the most trusted currency?  | |  If this question had been asked a year ago i think 90+ votes would have been in favour of it.
But now the scenerip has changed a quite and people have started diverting to other currencies as the mode of busines payment. But you can still not rule out the trust of this currency which has been the top most currency for the past mane daceds.
What do you think now. Do you still think this is the most trusted currency in the world today?

Right now many people would rather the Euros that is making wave across the world and is the most valuable currency next to the Pound Sterling

 tigertang (1489) | 2 months ago |  The Singapore dollar is a pretty strong currency on its own and so most people in Singapore are used to dealing their day-to-day trading in local currency. Furthermore, when we travel to other countries, our Singapore dollar is fairly desireable by Malaysians and Indonesians.
So, decline in the value of the US dollar is seen more from a perstiege point of view rather than an actual practical point of view as it would countries where the local currency is dubious and people prefer to deal in US dollars. It was not so long ago when people used to stress that people were paid x amount of US dollars rather than Singapore dollars. As the US dollar has weakened in international markets, people are speaking of the US dollar in less awe than they used now. Now, pounds and Euros have more of a cache.
This was actually most evident when I heard a conversation in the Red Light district about how US navy sailors were no longer considered the customers of choice because being paid in US dollars was no longer the big deal that it used to be.

first, the US is the most prosperous country in the world, even it seems to have some problems now, but depending on its advanced tech, it will better soon.
Further more, We Chinese government is totally dependant on the economy of the US, it won't let so many workers laid off, so it will buy lots of bond from US government, and this will help the US to recover,
Aha, although the US dislikes China, but it'll do a favor to the US

Many people are more willing to invest in the surging yuan or the more stable euro rather than the falling dollar. It's still an important currency, but just not AS important as it used to be, before the housing crisis and credit crunch.
