Why does he put up with her drama? He should have gotten rid of her long ago.

The leave the Shelle to DOOL was referring to the bringin in of Jason Cook. Although I love him as an actor I want Maxie and Spinelli together. Jason and Kirsten had their time on Days and while they do work well together. Let's just say that Maxie is no Belle and Dr. Doom is no Shawn. There are many that are saying yay to a 'Shelle' reunion but I can't see it being that way.

I like Maxie and Spinelli the way they are, friends.
Maxie is too shallow to see what a treasure Spinelli is, she'd never really appreciate him. Leyla, on the other hand, would be a great pairing for Spinelli. She recognizes the depth Spinelli has, and I think she'd appreciate him.

I think since it's different characters, it'll never be 'Shelle' but it can be something else. Jason Cook looked awesome! I'd like to see him and Kirsten Storms have scenes together. I can see Maxie liking him because he's hot, anything more meaningful would be speculation. Like I said, Maxie is shallow. She wants the hot guy, but not real connection, unless she's changed and I wasn't informed...LOL

I'd like to see scene of them. I wouldn't want them to try to recreate Belle and Shaun. But I am open to something new involving their new characters.

I agree. I don't even think they could recreate Shelle because Maxie's character is SO different from Belle's. But I love what a spitfire Maxie is. With Jason Cook's new arrogance as Matt Hunter, I'm sure they'll be a fabulous match! As for Maxie and Spinelli. I personally don't want them to ever hook up. I love the friendship they have and although I agree when you say that Maxie is shallow and can't appreciate Spinelli, I think she does have a very deep appreciation for him as a friend. It's normal for one friend to develop feelings for another friend, but I'm glad that GH (for now, anyway) isn't trying to force two friends to go beyond their friendship. I actually do think that Leyla (sp?) does have a better connection (romance-wise) with Spinelli than Maxie does. I hope they explore that pairing further.

I'd like to see Spinellie with Leyla. I think Maxie and Spinelli are perfect as friends, and she does appreciate him as a friend.

Yes, it does seem that the doctors of GH are arrogant and self-righteous but I have a feeling that Matt Hunter is not what he appears to be. It seems like he's buying counterfeit drugs on the black Market but I think he's trying to find out who's selling the counterfeit drugs that are in GH and the Clinic.
It would be a nice change to have real doctors with morals, values and good bedside manners. Someone like Steve Hardy.
It seems to me that they just show us the negative side of people on the soaps these days, but I long for just a few good upstanding characters.

Well we had Patrick and then Ian - this Matt doctor is just another Ian...Most likely he won't be around long. IF he is involved (how convenient that Nik happened to find him in his search) with the meds thing, when that comes to an end (howeer long the writters rack us over the same old boring coals!) he'll be gone to. At the moment the character has absolutely no structure so there's nothing to go on. Yeah, why can't we have another Steve or even Alan... a doctor that cared about the patients more than below their belt lines. I like Phiffy - and think they should do more with her.

I have a feeling that Dr. Matt Hunter is a good guy underneath it all as well. I may have read or just feel that he is acting undercover to determine who is behind the counterfeit drugs. If this is the case, then I think eventually Dr. Hunter could become a series regular, perhaps as part of the police force. Of course, this could also be wishful thinking on my part because I am gaga over the actor himself, Jason Cook! Heh. I also think the writers will feel out the viewer reaction to his relationship with Maxie. If it is well-received, then there is more reason for him to remain on the show for the long term.

Thanks for BR, Lastwolf - I have been really looking forward to the Spenillie/Maxie days - bless her little onary heart - at least she knows and verbally admits all her bad attributes! THat is funny to listen to her tell Spenilli the other day while in their "stake out" about her bad side, but then she used to to qualify something she was trying to impress on him to keep him safe. And other times she has admited her bad traits but always at a time to help someone else - like when she was talking to Lulu. I didn't like her at first, but now, she is a blessed god-send of refreshing character attributes!

I notice I keep saying her bad "attributes" ...at the moment, I can't think of the things she mentioned because it was so fun and refreshing to hear her talk about it all and catch that she was doing it to help someone...
I hope they keep her as is too and dont' pair her up with anyone. Give her some more prominent storylines!
