Dangerous addiction... |
|
I seriously feel that I may be addicted to coffee! I don't even know if that's possible... But if it is, then I am! I probably drink around 12 coffees every day:s I know that's bad for me! Anyone else think they may be addicted to coffee? Anyone drink WAY more than me?:p

I agree, I don't think it's as bad as people make out, but I know it's not that good either... Thanks for your comment:) Happy brewing!

2. Phaedra_Scythe (1407) | 4 months ago | It's certainly possible to be addicted. In fact a lot of people have a real problem with it. If you come to depend on it then you have a problem. It's not good for you as coffee is a diuretic and can leave you seriously dehydrated. Withdrawal symptoms can also be terrible. Perhaps you can try cutting down very slowly, say one cup less that usual a week until you've scaled it down to a healthier level?

louise99 (1525) | 4 months ago | I know you're right - it's just so easy because it's just coffee! lol I also drink a lot of water so hopefully I will not be dehydrated:s Thanks for your comment!

4. ctobler0609 (210) | 4 months ago | Yes, that definitely is possible. Caffine is a drug. I myself am addicted! I average about 5-8 cups per day. If I dont have my coffee I start to get headaches and mood swings. If I am driving and see a Tim Horton's, I will pull in not even thinking about it, just to get a coffee.

louise99 (1525) | 4 months ago | Yeah, I do that as well, I just make it without even thinking about it! It's got to the point where I'll finish a coffee, go out of the room and then come back and wonder where my coffee is! I just lose track of whether I've just finished one or just made one:p Thanks for your comment:)

HouseKat (627) | 4 months ago | Oh, perhaps I need to clarify my badly written sentence. I drink another 4 or 5 cups (not pots) of coffee at night.
| |
|
|
louise99 (1525) | 4 months ago | Haha - it would be easy to drink the 5 pots, I reckon!:p Well done on giving up drugs and drink - it's a very difficult thing to do! I know... Thankyou for you're comment and happy brewing!:)

6. danishcanadian (14553) | 4 months ago | I only drink two cups of cofee a day (I live in a cooffee shop called The SECOND Cup so why stop at just one? LOL). I like my two mocha lattes a day, and then I don't need any more coffee. What you describe definitely sounds like a caffeine addiction.

7. Vladilyich (1111) | 4 months ago | Until about 4 years ago I was totally addicted to coffee since 1963. I would regularly drink 3 POTS daily and would fall asleep without it. I was "cured" by working for Starbucks briefly.

9. gwoman2 (267) | 4 months ago | Hi Louise99, Yes, I do drink WAY more than you...I probably put away about 15-20 cups a day...but there is a reason...I am a recovering alcoholic, I have been sober for 19 years so coffee is my savior...can't stop it...good or not...I love it! I figure, as with anything else, I enjoy it very, very much and since I left alcohol I need something to tip to my mouth and it's coffee...don't like soda too much or ice tea or anything as much as coffee...I'll drink it hot, cold, whatever! We are all going to one day die of something so what the hay!! Stay cool, stay well, and never, never stress!! ~G~
