Enemas for Russia! |
|
Could there be anything that would be less of a tourist attraction? A Russian spa town has unveiled a monument to enema treatments in the guise of an 800-pound bronze syringe bulb held up by three angels. "There is no kitsch or obscenity," said the spa's director, Alexander Kharchenko. "An enema is almost a symbol in our region." ---New York Post I have read how people in Russia are standing in long lines for cheese and are starving. I was not expecting Russia to have this kind of tourist attraction.

Yestheypayme2dothis (2079) | 4 months ago | I have seen beautiful pictures of Russia. Near where I live there are lots of Russian senior citizens. They don't seem happy here. The man yelled at pharmacist while I was there and told him to learn Russian. The people who live in the same building the Russian elderly do say they are not friendly with the Americans. I see them walking by my area and they won't smile. Do you have any idea why this might be. I love international people.

Vladilyich (1111) | 4 months ago | The old Russians still miss the Soviet days and being guaranteed a living. The younger ones are more ambitious and are thrilled with the mobility of the U.S. They're not tickled with our economy however. Even though salaries in the FSU are really low, so are the prices. When I was there I was doing the marketing for a family of 4 for about 100R, the equivalent of $4(US).

My daughter had a teacher once who went on a vacation to Russia, and he said that there seemed to be a toilet paper shortage or something. He said that you had to ask for it, and then you would only get a little piece to use. If I ever go, I will be sure and bring my own toilet paper.
