Your First The Beatles Encounter |
|
I got to know the Beatles through a pen friend from Queensland, Australia. The Beatles then was starting to make waves. My friend sent me a poster and a Beatles brooch which I keep till now. How about you? How did you get to know the Beatles?

1. sweetie1026 (497) | 4 months ago | i was just a little girl when the Beatles were famous. my older sister is a big fan of theirs and because of that it seems that i grew up with them. i mean their songs are played all day in our house. you can hear them on the radio almost all day. so, even though i was just a little girl then i know almost all their songs until now. so i kind of like them too. but george is my favorite of them all, i have this crush on him and started to collect his pictures.

2. sherlock27 (849) | 4 months ago | I live in the USA, they made their first public appearance here on a show called The Ed Sullivan Show. They drove the audience wild and won America's heart, that was in the 60's. I'm now in my 60's and still listen to their music.

| 3. callyw (75) | 4 months ago | I love the Beatles! I got to know them in two ways. My mum was a big fan when she was young and my nanna still had all her old Beatles' albums and when I was young my brother and I always used to play them when we visited her. One of my primary school teachers was a massive fan of the Beatles and when we had singing practise he would teach us Beatles' songs (and a couple of ABBA songs!) Whenever I listen to the Beatles it reminds me of being at my nannas or primary school!

4. spalladino (3368) | 4 months ago | I first saw the Beatles when they performed on the Ed Sullivan show, which was their first appearance in the U.S. I was just soooo amazed and, of course, fell madly in love with Paul McCartney and George Harrison, even tho I was only about 8 or 9 years old. I was a big fan and had lots of Beatles stuff for years.
