How you will react? Slap him/her back?

Wow! If a guy I was seeing ever slapped me I would probably be extremely hurt (emotionally). I mean, when someone you trust slaps you, it is a pretty big disappointment. And I think that would change them in my eyes forever, even if they never hit me again. But of course I've never been in this situation.

I would never hit my wife. I wouldn't hit her even if she was beating the daylights out of me. men sometimes deserved to be slapped but I was raised never to hit anyone, let alone a woman or my wife.

You need to leave. Call in awhile and see if she has calmed down. No real man should ever hit a woman. Leaving is the better option. Learn how to discuss/argue productively. Use 'I feel' phrases. Have you ever noticed that when two people get into it and one raises his voice the other will also. If one kept a even voice and tried to stay calm things would not excellate so badly. But, when drugs and/or alcohol is added to the mix you have a real problem because of inhibitions. Think before you speak? Yah, right.

Well, if for me its a really silly topic then he slapped me...then I'm definitely gonna feel about that, cause I think he would be over reacting. Cause if your in a fight, things shouldn't be out of hand by doing physical things.

If I were slapped during an argument I would feel compelled to slap back. But instead, I would probably cry--in shock, in disappointment, in anger, in hopes that crying would make him feel the scum of the earth and regret his actions with all his might, making him feel the need to run to the nearest church and confess his sins to a priest. Then I would probably leave for a little bit. We both need to cool off and back off and stay away from each other for a little bit. Then, after a few days, get together and talk--but not until he is down on his knees with a new diamond ring as an "I'm so sorry. I'm the world's biggest idiot. You are right and I am always wrong" gift.

There is no excuse for any kind of physical contact in an argument other than hugging or shaking hands or something peaceful like that. It is disgusting. Violence is no good and it will only lead to no good.

I would not have to handle this situation because I would be careful to choose a mature and intelligent mate who would never dream of doing such a thing. However, if I were young and foolish and made such a mistake and someone slapped me, I would not hit back, but neither would they ever darken my door again. It would be the end of the relationship. Goodbye. Do not write. Do not call. I would not know that person any more.

Hi there yogeshdhusa, if that happen to me, I will walk out and stay along in the room. I will wait that my anger will subside and when he is ready and I am ready, we will talk about it and let him understand that I am hurt and slapping is never a solution over things when we are fighting and we just need to be open-minded in discussing things!

Well..I'm an instinctive person adn if I get slap, that person better be ready to see my palm print on their face for a while, because at the same instant I get slap especially if the argument is intense, I will slap back and hard too.

It is for that reason i try not to argue, and count to 10 lol, anyoen who knows me will tell you that when I start to count never let em reach 10 because I wont be responsible for what happens after - my Dad calls me bull. Guess it is the Aries temper in me

It's never okay to hit anyone, not a dog, a child or a person. Slapping is mean. It's an immature way to express feelings and the slapper needs to find some communication skills, fast!

And no, if someone slapped me I wouldn't slap back. I would walk away and never come back.
