I'm guessing this poor horse could not bear the torture any longer and his spirit was completely shattered--(by the way his name was Spirit) he had to be euthanized:-( And all because of a couple of miscreants that call themselves human! Both were so emaciated that their bones were showing and they had open wounds...although the source of the wounds is unknown, I could take a reasonably intelligent guess...they did it, I'm sure:-(

Since there wasn't any grass left in the pasture, yet on the other side of the fence the grass was knee high but they couldn't reach it...can myLotters imagine the torture? The sufferring? The horses had resorted to cribbing, which is the chewing of the boards and fence around the area where they were "confined". (The use of this word seriously scares me.) Can you imagine the poor horses who are majestic animals who should be treated with love, care, and respect just for being!! And get this, they both deny knowing about the condition of the horses. WHAT???? They also had some dogs and a sheep who appeared to be ok. What's up with that? I can't understand it? These things make me sick--UGH! What do myLot Animal Lovers think?

I was going to do a discussion on cruelty in the horseracing industry, but I'll wait until other folks respond here so that I can gauge the interest level...
I have a pretty good discussion on Humans and the Environment and If we don't think that we are a part of it, as well as respecting All Species-- We certainly are "Asking for it".
