Is it my imagination or does the Shrek movie series seem made for adults?

I think it is made for both. I think disney finally got smart and made their movies for both. it has kid like humor but then it also has adult humor to keep us adults from being bored to tears watching these movies with our kids. there is a lot of adult humor in shrek, but i'm also noticing it in alot of the kids movies. either that or disney is just following in suit with all the companies pushing so hard for kids to grow up so fast.

To me, the movies are supposed to have humor that appeals to all ages. For example, it has the adult humor that is tasteful enough to go over a child's head, and then it has physical humor like things falling on top of people and such.

I have watched all those and enjoyed them enormously. I very rarely watch a film and I particularly dislike animated cartoons, but I just adored the look of that cat when I saw the adverts. That cat sucked me right in. I must say I liked the first one best of all.

I must admit I haven't seen any of the Shrek movies, mrghill. I avoid animated movies, and got a bit sick of seeing the Shrek character plastered over all the grocery products in the local supermarket! Maybe I should give them a try, seeing as so many grown-ups recommend them!
