| 4. vrahulan (92) | 4 months ago |  Exactly laxman. Nowadays too much cricket has been played and that has resulted in the intensity of Rivalry going down. When India played Pak at WC 2003 the match created huge expectations but now India-Pak clash has become one among the matches. It's all due the administrators who have have scheduled frequent matches to earn more and it has brought the excitement(pre-match hype) down. I also think this also has to do with the strengths of the team. India currently are far better than Pakistan. And nowadays the rivalry has nothing to do with the history (i.e) stronger teams are considered rivals. Indo-Aus series create great expectations as both are good teams. And I feel Indo-Pak clashes and Eng-Aus Ashes wont be the same as they were in the past.

One reason reason is also that Pakistan have no Powerful players like Inzi, Saeed anwar, waqar. And India are without Sachin Rahul and Sourav.
