Do you know why people pierce their body parts?  |

 I have seen people men and women alike who have piercings in their tongue, nose, lips and even bellybuttons nowadays.
I just don't get the reason why they are having their body parts pierced, i think they are just hurting themselves.
Well, i think its ok if girls pierce their ears, its quite normal for girls to do so.
How about you? What do you think about it?
Do you also pierce other parts of your body besides your ears? Why do you do so?

I was a bit of a wild child....lol. I marched to my own drummer and I still do. Now I don't have the body for all that so I just have a blue faux hawk.

I think both piercing and tatoo hurt a lot. Well i think they both do bleed but the tatoo would cover a wider portion of your body as compared to just piercing where there would just be one small hole to be pierced. hehe | |

the ear and the nose piercing is practised in india and other countries of the region since time immemorial and is intentionally done with a purpose.
it has some sort of nerves which affect the body systems.
the hole is not left blank and most of the time apiece of gold is put in there which seems to be having some kind of effect on the body.
well i have come across other piercings of very heavy nature where the iron rods are used to pierce any other body part like tongue, sides of the belly .
they say to have some effect to please the gods!!
oh my god!!
all other places like eye brows and belly buttons and decorating with some sort of jewellery is mere attraction .

I have heard that silver piercing like earrings can cleanse our blood. I'm just not sure if its really true.

Some are in it because it is a fad and so many have to follow the fad. Some I just think are crazy. When I see some of the pictures makes me cringe and am like omg how many and where?

Sure, some of it is fashion based or peer pressure, but there are enough of us who do it out a sense of self. You may not like piercings and have no plans to get any, which is entirely your choice. You can be uniquely you without a body full of metal but for some of us piercings are just part of who we are.
