Yeah your right.. The society is looking on outside appearance... But don't worry, as what the Bible says in 1Kings, "Man looks from the outside appearance, but God looks from the inside." If they fail you, God won't!

Unfortunately society judges our looks. I really wish it wasn't that way but it is. I think it send a bad message to the teen girls. You look at billboards, commercials, advertisements, and movies and you see a skinny and beautiful model. Well that's not how the normal lady looks and it sends the message to young girls (and boys) that if your not tall and skinny you're not beautiful.

I've been on both sides of the coin. I've always been really petite but when I was pregnant with my sons I gained 95 pounds. Yes 95. Crazy huh? Well I was definitely treated differently when I gained the weight.

I wish things would change with society's views. But most likely they wont

Personally, fat isn't really ugly, just unhealthy and probably undesireable. I don't stay in shape mainly for my looks, but for my health. I hate when I see super-skinny, anorexia looking people walking around scorning bigger people and believing that they are fat themselves.

looks are necessary,but a daily calorie count is mad unless your looks earn a living for you.Also fat is ugly but some people look a bit plumpy and they look beautiful and cute.Heard many people comment on a few girls as "CUTE FATTY"

I think beauty and ugliness is in the eye of the beholder. I mean I don't people just look at fat. What if you were missing your two front teeth? I mean someone may still think your beautiful, most would probably think not. I think it is just personal preference and the main thing is to be happy with yourself. If you are overweight and don't feel good about it then get into gear and lose some weight until YOU feel good about yourself and your at a healthy weight to lower the risk of health problems. Don't let anyone else tell you how you need to look.

Honestly in todays day and age yes looks are important and people do judge you quite a lot by your looks. Though that should not be the case. For me it is def the person inside that is important and not the looks.

People are very judgementally on people that have a little extra weight on them. But i have found out that most over weight people are the sweetest and nicest of people you just need to get to know them. On the other side some of the thin people are very snotty because they think they have the perfect body.

I don't think fat is ugly and don't agree with you. What is ugly is the person who has ugly mind, not his appearance. Fat is OK

If you look fat it does not mean that your ugly. The most important thing in a person is not looks or appearance but his/her character. I am agree with what you have said its the person and not the weight. Do not judge the book by its cover.

Unfortunately we live in a society that is obsessed with looks. And I think generally we all have our preferences. I think naturally we tend to judge a person initially by there looks because early on thats all you have to go on. But normally you can tell different things by a person's appearance. Usually parts of your personality is evident in the way that you look physically or the way that you dress. But after you get to know a person I think you go off of their personality.
