My boys are going to give me a heart attack...or drain the bank account LOL

I have heard a story growing up about my older brother. When he was around 2 years old he got a chair and dragged it over to where my mom's purse was hanging, climbed up and got her keys. Then he proceeded to go outside and grab a rock, put it on the gas peddle, put the keys in the ignition, and start the car. He put it in gear(reverse) and ran it across the yard into our neighbors birdbath.

Oh my goodness. Talking about having a bad day. It's funny to read about but I guess it wouldn't be too funny if it was happening to me.:o)

I'm sure glad you got everything straightened out with ebay though. And sure glad there was no damage done or anyone hurt in the car episode.

I tell you, you can't take your eyes off these little ones for a minute can you?

Have you never heard of the terrible two's?? You know you can't leave them unlocked, unleashed, or unattended for even a split second as they can tear a house down in 10 second flat.. It was 25 years ago when my son was at that age and you had to use the eyes in the back of your head, along with the ones in the front to watch them.. They are like greased lightening when they aim to do something that is obviously new and fascinating to them.. You are going to have to get a leash and hook them to your belt for at least 18 more years.. Than and only then will they keep out of trouble, but if unleashed, you better watch out.. Good luck with the little, can I say it, "monsters" and I mean that in a good way.. You will be telling this story to them when they are grown and they will not believe they could have ever done things like that.. Better watch out, you have quite a few more years of it..

I can understand! I have one that is going through the terrible twos right now. She isn't too mischievous yet. That was nice of the ebay seller to do that. You know that they can't leave negative feedback anymore so that won't be a problem!

I can only imagine what I have in store for me!

I have a friend I was on the phone with when she went into the other room for a minute came back into the living room and her almost 3 year old had gotton the bottle of grape juice out of the fridge and dumped it all in the middle of the living room carpet. He had also gotton into a high cupboard somehow and gotton the surup and squirted it all over the carpet and his train set. She was just amazed he could do all that is such a short period of time. The carpet was brand new installed by their landlord right before they moved in. There is no saving it now.

Let's face it, you have superactive boys and that I love. You're just going to have to learn to avoid all the opportunities for them to spend your money, drive your car, overcook your food and all the other danger spots around the house.
Its fun, really, and when you look back at it you realise you must have pretty much done the same or similar at home when you were their age.
One of the things I regret in life is not being able to remember all my own stuff.
There's not going to be another time like this one, remember that.

I'm glad that the seller is understanding and is going to get back his fees, and I have to say right now I've heard of people doing that many many times, I've had it happen to me as well, where someone bought something and then I had a buyer back out.

I had a friend who's daughter bid on 'snow' on ebay, and she had to go and cancel her daughters bid as well as she bid like 1,000.00

As far as the car, I'm glad your mother in law was laughing because well it could have been worse

A lot of cars now have safety features that you can not take a car out of park unless you have the brake pedal pressed down.

I think Ebay is understanding about things like this as long as they don't happen to often, and the seller can say it was a 'mutual' agreement where it doesn't count against you.

as far as the car incident. i guess for your insuarance purposes and the poilic go im am really glad your mil was the persons car LMAO. could you imagin someone calling the police as that as an accident. i mean how would you explain my almost 2 year old was the one behind the wheel. and then the cops might look at that like some child neglect or child endangerment.. so its cute in away but really its not its serious.

I did! I have two girls (grown) and then i have two boys (12 & 13yrs/o) and take my word those two little boys started giving me an education before they could even walk (esp. the oldest)! I had NEVER been so surprised by the things that a little boy will think to do that would never cross a little girls mind!
