Day care centers

We have many day care centers. I have heard of nasty happenings in these places especially those that have many children under their care but with limited staff. You will notice that these children here have the same sleeping pattern ie they will be put to sleep at the same time. To make work easier for them they will put sleep inducing syrup in the milk so that they will automatically fall asleep after feeding. This has been a talk of the town here lately.

Hi wordmax! That is so wonderful! We don't have anything like that here in our country which is for free. I think that could really help a lot of parents so they can find work and at the same time their babies will be taken care of by trained women. It has always been a wish or a dream of mine to have something like that. Actually, I have wanted to have a big home which I can open for all children who are living in the streets. However, I am not richly blessed with wealth. But I am praying that soon I will be so I can take get this children out of the street and give them love and care and maybe a good future for them. Anyway, my brother usually leaves his children with me before because he and his wife are were working. I do it gladly because I just love children and I have cared for them as if they were my own.

It is not only in Metros but also in samll towns available. Here in my city, may in thousands, in my own lane there are six under title, 'Creche'. I think if you plan and open out at your palce, you can serve bettet. In a place like me, there is nothing free, it ma be an od case run by Govt. have a nice time.

Everything here in the Philippines is not free. i wish we will have something like this so that the poorer sectors can work. Come the time they can afford to hire an nanny, then others can take their slot.

I will take care of my grand baby again when her mom goes back to work I am not sure how much day care cost but have heard that they are really high and that some people cant go to work because the couldnt pay for it and make anything working so they dont work unless someone in the house hold or grand parents can do it

hey friend...i am from chennai... ANGAN BADI is made for poor..I would bring to our notice that anganbadi also helps pregnant woman and diet control mechanisms to pregnant women..

it would really be nice,if there something like that for free in america. if there is i am not aware of it.but there could be.

That is a fantastic thing for people on a low income to have! Here there are many options for chid day care - I myself am a trained nanny/nursery nurse which means I have trained in all aspects of childcare, health, psychology etc in children from conception to 8 years old although I do not work in that field nowadays! There are many types of fee paying nurseries, childminders (who must be registered and look after children in the minders own home) and nannies! I am not sure of how much the rates are now as it is a good few years since I used anything like that but I know that many ordinary working people cannot afford to use them. All children aged 3-5, before they start school are entitled to 2 1/2 hours of nursery school on weekdays free of charge. xxx

Far as I know, we don't have anything like that here. We do, however, have programs for poor kids to have breakfast and lunch at school for free along with free registration to go to school. Our daughter is one of these kids who get good meals at school cause sometimes I have nothing here that she will like that's also nutritous. Our daughter has never been in day care being we always are able to have her with us either while working or dr. appointments.

In our country, we don't have
a free place for babies to go.

But we do have head-start.
If a child qualifies, then they
go before kindergarten or first grade
and are fed and taught some basics like
socialization, colors, counting, fun painting
and crafts.

It does not cost.

But if a parent wants daycare, then such
costs around $600 US dollars.

Very sad. Our government does not
subsidize day cares. But they
do have high requirements to ensure
safe care of children.

I stayed in such a place as a child
for a few days off and on as my mother
had to work on occasion.

They were not so bad.

But back then, it was no so expensive.

Gave me a chance to socialize with other
children my age or do fun crafts!
