Indpendence Day  | |  Seeing tommorrow is Independence Day most of the people here will probably be at some picnic or another getting ready to watch the fireworks. I wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July, but while we all are out having our fun let us take a few moment to remember the brave men and women who are serving our country.
Take a moment if you will and reflect back to the very beginnings of our fight for freedom, the very essence of what makes this country so great. Our forefathers having laid down their lives for us to bring the freedoms we have today. Some of us have taken these freedoms for granted and do not really appreciate the struggles of those who are oppressed, but want to whine when they have one of their freedoms intruded on in some way.
Freedom is a priveledge that has been bought and paid for in blood and now continues to be to paid for by our men and women serving our country. So when we are all out this weekend and you see the flag flying high over head, or on the street corner, take the time to salute Old Glory and thank the many people who have given so much to bring us the freedoms we have today.

Our freedoms certainly do come at a high price and are easily taken for granted. My husband was a disabled vet who died from service related causes and my brother is also a disabled vet. Our independence is precious and costly.
