What is the meaning of life?

The meaning:
Meaning is what you've educated yourself and collected all that you have have up to the point in your individual life and the meaning comes to you, by what you've surrounded yourself with... The lifestyle you strive for.

If you look at nature, we emulate animals in each different form. When I watch the discovery channel I see my friends in the animals and the way some react, interact and just plain out and out live... I looked at it in another way. Just about everything in nature on this earth goes forth and be fruitful. Everything on earth goes back to ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Some items on earth stay a little longer than others... tree's... tortoises... roaches... other adaptable creatures.

The meaning is the responses from everyone here that gives to you their expectations.

If you believe in garbage, your life will be that...
Think positive, no matter how much garbage you receive from outside sources. Make this your own purpose of the meaning of life.

I'm rather fond of the answer being "42", myself. It seems to apply quite nicely to just about anything you would need it to.

More seriously, though, the meaning of life is different from person to person, just like the purpose of life. You have to go and find out your own meanings and purposes on your own. No one else can tell you any different.
