He is not going to stay off drugs unless he wants to. Which means he would have to help himself and seek out some type of help. Rehab maybe. counseling. narcotics anonymous.

Unfortunately there's nothing she can do to make him stay off drugs. He has to decide himself that he wants to be drug free. All she can do is be there for him and support him. She can look into different drug rehabilitation programs, but if he doesn't want to get clean then forcing him to go isn't going to help at all.

hi hhikto1} he or she has to reconized that they have a problem first,second he or she has (to have a want and will), to get off drugs. and realize how it tares apart the family and the people around him or her that cares about them.i hate to say this but somtimes we have to step back and they have, to go to the bottom to see what has destoyed their life because of bad choices that he or she has made. he or she has to change their friends that or not a positive role in their life. just think about it drugs are jail.

he need first go to rehab. and then stay away from all his freinds who does drugs, break all ties off with them
have him earn your freind trust again. but be there for support.

Drugs are really bad for this reason. I do agree though that its bad that they are locking up all these non-violent, non-stealing offenders. It is really bad all the way around. best thing in life is just to stay off drugs. Wish you friend well on this.
