Fast food workers should be ashamed

I once got someone fired from mcdonalds. I asked for a mcflury, the kid taking the order said they were out of the ingredients for it. I said ok, went to the window. The manager was there helping. I said to bad your out of mcflurrys. The manager said we arnt out of mcflurrys, what do you mean. So I told him what had happened. He turned to the kid in the window and said. Thats the last time, ive told you about this kind of thing over and over again, I told you one more time and your out of here, go to my office now. The kid of course started protesting and he said go now. I got a free mcflurry out of it lol. Oh if looks could kill though lol.

Fast food places aren't big on customer service when it comes to customers who don't follow their prescribed choices. It sounds like this woman was on a power trip...queen of the drive through window...and how dare you argue with her! I would not have wanted Kate to drink whatever was in that cup either.

Yes thoughts like that have crossed my mind & I would have done the same thing that you did with the drink. Personally I can't see what the problem was especially if you were willing to pay for the drink reguardless. I would have gone inside & asked to speak to the manager. That is no way to be treating customers because if it wasn't for them that girl would even get a paycheck!

I have wondered the same thing from employees that I have dealt with thru drive threw windows. I would have told that girl I need to speak to a manager.

You should complain to the manager. That's ridiculous. Some of the fast food places around here have some inept employees too. I've got to always check the order before I pull out of the restaurant. The Pizza Hut nearest here is completely insane. It takes an hour just to get a pizza.

That is totally ridiculous but kind of like the fast food workers around here. I wouldn't have let my child drink the water either. Some people make things so difficult. We went to Cracker Barrel today and our waitress was rather rude and just not friendly at all. Add to it that I think she was new and it was just not pleasant. Food was great though.

rotflmao B, Why did you not ask for the manager? Just ask her to come to the window. Good grief I would have. I do not tolerate stupidity very much when it comes to spending my money. I am a customer and paying out good money for a service, I don't care the I.Q. or the age of the clerk, If I am not being served in a way I think I should be, I want to know why, or I will take my money else where.... So if there was no manager I could speak with I would have told the woman never the flipping mind I would go somewhere, where the Drive thru cashier was not so stupid.

She must have been the same woman s/o dealt with a few years ago...he ordered a double 1/4 pounder with cheese...with "light on the lettuce, tomato, and cheese only", meaning no onions, no pickles, no sauces. The woman told him "but they come with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, sauce and cheese". He told her he realized that but he did not want onions or pickles or sauce. Her reply "I'll still have to charge you for the whole sandwich" him "No problem". So she slammed the windowed yelled the special order and he thought it was all settled...until he bit into his sandwich and discovered just how special ordered it was...a bun and cheese melted over a tomato and one piece of lettuce, no burgers. The ensueing argument include things like "but sir, you told me that's all you wanted!"

Only because as a teenager I worked in such places. I know the Sonic I worked at had two cooks who liked to play frisbee with the frozen hamburger patties. If the hit they floor, no big deal, they still ended up on someones bun. UGH. I think in your instance it would of been me having the temper tantrum. I think I would of immediately asked for a manager and then I would of asked for BOTTLED water instead.

I had a hum dinger of a day too.
First of all I had to get my frames for my glasses fixed, but they told me I'd have to send them clear across the state because they couldn't do it there.
Then I get a red onion at the store but somehow did not have it when I got home. Luckily I looked at the receipt and it wasn't even on there. I wonder what poor soul ened up with a red onion they idn't want.
Then at Walmart. I had to go there to pick up a few things. We got a bag of cat food that had been cut when they opened the box. Realized it at the checkout. My husband said, just get some tape because all the other bags probably got cut too. So I ask the lady to tape it and she tells me I need to take it to customer service. No offer to go get the tape or get someone to do it. Just you have to go all the way down to customer service with a 20 pound bag of car food because I don't have tape. She was kinda rude about it too.
Maybe it is just Poor Customer Service Day and no one told us.
