 I rented this movie a while ago & just got around to watching it today. It's about a young widow named Holly Kennedy played by actress Hilary Swank. She has just lost her husband Gerry played by Gerard Butler(he also played the Phntom from the movie Phantom of the Opera) who had a brain tumor. To help her cope with her grief Holly finds that Gerry left for her a series of letters to help. As months pass, Holly discovers new messages from Gerry encouraging her to go on living. These letters give her strength to face the future without Gerry. This movie was a very good & heartwarming movie if somewhat sad. It was deffinately worth watching at least once...BUT(yes there is a but added here LOL)it was a little slow moving & somewhat long as well. I deffinately recommend that you see this movie at least once though because it really is a good movie with a very touching storyline. Besides Gerard Butler looks hot in here LOL. No one tell my husband I said that though okay?! LMBO

2.  anniepa (5833) | 4 months ago |  I have that in my Netflix queue so I'll be getting it soon, hopefully. It looked like my kind of movie from the first time I saw the trailer for it. Thanks for the review! I don't depend a whole lot of professional critics because they're not looking for the same thing I am in a movie and I can't always go by what's a hit and what flops either. Having a real person describe it and give their opinion works for me!

| 3. GreenMoo (1891) | 4 months ago |  I've never seen the movie, but it's based on a book by the same name by a lady called Cecelia Ahern. I'm not normally a big fan of 'chick-lit' books, but this one had me in floods of tears. It was excellent.
Nothing better than a good cry to show how much you're enjoying a book LoL

| marylinda (79) | 1 month ago |  For a change, I saw the film before reading the book. I usually do it the other way around and am always disappointed with the movie as I have the peoples' faces in my mind's eye and they usually change things in the movie too.
So I really enjoyed the movie when I went to see it. It took me a while to get around to reading the book but when I did I loved it too. I have read the rest of Cecilia's books too. Some good others not so good

I watched it a couple of weeks ago and I really liked it. Yes Gerald Butler looked really scorching HOT! lol. I just loved the way he narrates in his sexy irish accent how he fell in love with his wife. The movie showed how coping on losing someone can be really hard especially if that someone was your better half, but it does show that life still has to go on for the living and that there so much more to look forward to. It's all about letting go. Not really the best movie ever I have to admit but it's very heartwarming story that I would recommend fellow mylotters to watch.
P.S: Pinky swear, I won't tell your husband about how HOT you think Gerald B. is.**wink**
