Second, don't try too hard. Don't be desperate! Be confident in yourself and smile in the knowledge that one day that wonderful lady will be sitting opposite you.

About your question, well, according to my own experience, i'll give you my tips and hope that'll be of help.
I got three tips for you.
First, i think you need to be really gentle, a rude guy won't get a girl's heart. And besides, a love started by force or something like that will never have a good ending.
Second, patience. Sometimes when you tell girl you love her and she just walk away, that doesn't mean you failed, it only means the girl can not make a decision at that moment or she just need to evaluate you. As long as you are patient enough, you can get her.
Third, try to show the best of you to attract your dream-girl. It's a fact that everyone has good parts and bad ones, and if you can show the best of you to your dream-girl while avoid showing your "bad" part. She'll soon be yours.
