 I just seen on the news why the our troops are still in Iraq.The soldiers are putting up concret walls up around the town's to protect the people from the people in Iraq that are trying to take over.But, as the walls are being put up they are being shot at.The people are unsafe.There was a boy about 12 that was shot by the Iraqy soldiers and had a leg blown off.The mother had to spend all her money to have surgeory for her son.

| 3. slickcut (5082) | 4 months ago |  Oh that is so sad...I am glad that you have told us this though because i am so anxious for our men to come home..I can see now that they are trying so hard to protect..I knew this but did not feel the affects until i read this discussion..I hate this war and what all it is doing,but i supposs the ones that are in charge know what they are doing..I do hope this gets better soon.I know that so many families are away from each other...and we loose our troops...

| dfollin (1384) | 4 months ago | I understood the war when the american soldiers first went over there,but I wondered why it wasn't ending yet.Then,I saw that on the early morning news.My heart sank.I could picture that being me and one of my kids.Then I started thinking that if the soldiers just quit pick up and leave.Go home with their tails between their legs and we look like a bunch of chicken's.Then those da** terrorist will come and do to the american's what they are doing to the iraqi's.We do not like to see people dead,especially our soldiers.But,they went their on their own free will.No one is making them go there.Those men and women know their conscequinces.And they are brave and have great loving hearts or they would not be doing this.And yes families are away from each other.But,it might be a lot worse if we don't let these men and woman do their jobs. | |

It happens every day.I live in northern Virginia,a suburb of Washington,DC.In DC and some counties in southern Maryland mostly.On a daily basis a person is getting shot and killed for no apparent reason.Usually it is a teenager,child or young adult.Sometimes it does happen in other areas as well.Just a few weeks ago in one county over a man was getting depressed because of the economy,not allowing to provide for his family.So,he killed his wife,two kids and then himself. | |
