is it good for girls to have higher education

I think higher education is good for anyone who wants it, it just depends on what way they want to go, sometimes it doesn't really suit some people they would rather go out and get a job as soon as possible, some just want to get married so it is what is in peoples hearts to do.

Why not? Girls have every right to.
But I would like to put here a case where it does not seem to be a good idea not because educating girls is bad, but because in some parts of the world, the social system, the education level of general public and thinking.
There is a girl aged about 33 at this time who has not been married till now. The reason - she and her family were looking for a boy who was at least as educated as she was. But in their caste, such boys were difficult to find. To start with, the girl and her family were not ready to compromise (why should they?). But afterwards when the age became a real factor, they began to loosen a bit, but then age became a stumbling block. Of course, even now there are offers but they are so unmatched that it is impossible to accept.
After all this would you like to know what her father thinks. He thinks that he would have been much better if he had married them after they had passed high school.
So the moral of the story is that even though women have equal rights but sometimes we have to look at the social environment to ensure that they would fit into it. It would be in their own interest.

Education is a wonderful tool.

Every body should have some form of education the more we have educated people maybe we will have a better understanding of each other, I hope so.

Higher education should be open to anybody and for good reasons it now is. Woman deserve the same rights as man and I'm proud to be a higer education female student. Everybody should be able to explore and develope themselves through work, education or spiritual meanings; whichever they choose or through more than one medium.

Getting an education makes it easier to get a (better paid) job and have a succesfull live; this is not the key to happiness as a lot of people think but having sufficient money does make your life a lot easier in some ways.
Actually higher educated people pay less for things like health insurance (at least in the Netherlands) as statistics proof these people are less often sick (I guess because they have a healthier work environment en work more with brain and paperwork than hard physical labour).

And for all the die-hard feminists around here: statistics also show that at the time being more woman graduate from higher education than man; we've had less time to start education but now more woman are getting higher educated than men;)

Everyone is intitled to have a high education if one wants one. Many women have fought for this so that we can have equal rights as men. But, some people dont want the higher education and that fine and that their choice. But, as I said before Higher Education is a must in todays world if anyone wants to make it.

To have a higher education is very much important not only for girls but also to boys.. Everyone of us should have a higher education because this will be one of the things that they can be proud of.. In this generations, most companies hire those who are college graduate.. It is really hard to find job if you don't have a higher education especially the girls, because boys can find job easily since there are more jobs can do by the boys than girls such as construction, delivery, drivers, etc.. Some works cannot do by females and we can't deny that.. Somehow, in our generation today there is already a law of equality.. That both man and woman can work, free to do the things they want to do, and to have the same kind of job (except some jobs that I mention above).. Having a higher education is the proudest thing that a person can have because you work for it..

Why shouldn't girls get a higher education? This girl has a masters in biology.

i appreciate ur thinking that girls should do their higher education for independent survival in case of any tragedy i love my daughter i have alredy think about her if she want to go upto doctorate or higher to that i will complete her will

I feel it does not matter weither your male or female. what matters is how hard you work for it. Anyone can get a higher education if you work hard for what you want. I feel that males believe that they are better because of certain activities but when they compare them to activities that interest women they can see that we are just as equal as they are. No one is better than the other person. Some may be smart but only because they work twice as hard.
