 drive in movies are very far and few here in australia and there is one about 45 minutes from my place.my children have never been to a drive-in,so i thought this would be a treat in the school holidays.in my youth we use to always go to the drive-in movies,but all the drive-ins are nearly all gone and i think there is only about 2 or 3 still left in our state.i actually miss the drive-in movies.do you still have drive-in movies where you live.what things do you miss that you enjoyed in your youth and are not available now.cheers sue

Sheez I have not been to the drive in for at least 30 years now.

 suehan1 (1770) | 2 months ago | yes i am lucky i actually heard them advertise on our local radio today and i looked them up.you only pay for the car and that is $20.00 per car and you can have up to 8 people in the car.so they have 3 movies showing and it cost $40.00 to see all of them.thats a bargain when you pay $15.00 a person to go to the cinemas.it is near newcastle and the only other one i know exists is the other side of sydney.i really do miss the drive-ins as well.cheers sue | |

| 2. kingcrapper (960) | 2 months ago |  I haven't been to a drive in threate since I saw Star Wars the first time in 1977! What a gret time the kids will have there! I remember my mom having the speaker hooked onto the window and the smell of popcorn! Wow! This is something great! When the movie was all over and we left I was wondering why these few cars where left in the lot. Hmm. Live and learn. Great post! I hope they enjoy their trip and their holiday!
