My husband told me last week, that we will not be able to go to Florida and in fact, we will not be able to go to the States at all. We live in Canada, and there is a good chance we might only be able to travel to Saskatoon - we live in Winnipeg, MB. He had a mini stroke and finally he is going to get proper exercises. Now whether this the reason for us not traveling, or whether it is because of the high cost of gas (we would have to pay more for the service fees in the planes than for the seats themselves, and have to use one bag for both of us besides the carryons, because they charge for that too,) I have no idea. Or it could be he loves flat as in the Prairies.
I do not think it is because we can see everything in the movies, tvs, and on the internet, because here in winter, it gets very cold and snows going to 40 below, so we do need to get out and see things in other countries. It would be the money or lack of it that would keep us from going abroad, not that we are being a good global citizen and I do not intend to be stuck here in Winnipeg for the whole twelve months of a year or even in Manitoba, thank you.
