Can a mother take place of a father? |
|
I don't think a mother can take place of a father. Women are counted at second number in several matters and cannot do certain things which a male can do easily. Biologically a women has a brain which is less in total weight when compared to a male.Do you agree with me?Can a mother become a father and look after children just like a father do?Please share with mylot community. Thanks in advance. Muzaffer India www.netbizforall.com

Women are not second to men, they just often haven't been given the same opportunities because a patriarchal society has done whatever it can to keep them subordinate for as far back in human history as we can be aware of. It's also not the first time pseudo-science has been used to "prove" inferiority. Your brain theory is a lot of bunkum. Did you know that as we grow older our brains shrink? This would mean that all children are smarter than adults. The idea that the size or shape of a person's brain has anything to do with their intelligence (look up "phrenology"), was thrown out as utter garbage in the last century. I do know a few kids who are certainly less ignorant than your statements here though.

3. squirt051305 (261) | 4 months ago | I can not believe in what I am reading!!!! Are you serious????? I'm sorry but I totally disagree with you! There are many women in this world that are the mother and father to their children. Just because (for instance) I have to potty train my son I can still do it....another one I can discipline my son...don't need the father to do so. I see that your one of those people who think very little of woman...it's ashame. It can work both ways...doesn't matter if it's the mother or father.

4. ersmommy1 (6374) | 4 months ago | I grew up in a family where my dad did NOTHING. And that was when he was around. My mother did it ALL. No I do not agree with you. In fact I don't think many will agree. As for Biology woman can have the baby make the milk to feed the baby. Men's brains are larger, but as they age, they also shrink faster than women's brains. http://query.nytimes.com/...

5. howard96h (4937) | 4 months ago | Oh come on, you've got to be kidding or this discussion just to generate a lot of comments. Women do NOT come in second place to men. There are more single moms raising children than their are single men raising children and the women are doing a wonderful job as mom and also playing the role as dad when they have to. According to you a woman's brain is less in total weight to that of a man, so what does this mean? Are you saying that a man's brain is heavier and that makes it more - what - intelligent? If men are the smarter of the two then why is it that women have to drag their heavily brained husbands into court to force them to pay child support for their own children. You can have many fathers in this life but only one mother!

6. joyce959 (1165) | 4 months ago | Oh yes very much! I agree with the previous responders here. There are several women who play the role of mother and father to kids. Almost all man's work can be done by a woman/mother including bearing and rearing of children; but a man can not bear and give birth to a child, can YOU?

8. jammyt (1655) | 4 months ago | Uhm, before anything else, what does the brain weight have to do with anything???? What if I say men are slower than women? I agree though, that a mother cannot take a place of the father BUT most of the time, a mother CAN live without the father of the child AND can raise their children alone. Most of the time in fact, fathers are not cut out to take care of children. They do not have the same patience as the mothers have. be careful of what you say, you will get people, specially single mothers out there pissed. I, on the other hand, is happily married. I just do not agree with what you said or how you said it.

9. maple_kisses (691) | 4 months ago | A man or a woman's brain for that matter has nothing to do with the ability of looking after a child. I don't know how you can see the relation but sorry, I honestly can't. No offense meant but your question "Can a mother become a father and look after children just like a father do?" is just soooo plain unintellectual. Again, my apologies. It's just that a mother can never become a father and vise versa because a father is a father, a mother a mother, period. But looking after children? I mean, hey! I don't think there's a comparison. Mothers have been looking after children since conception, nurturing and nourishing a baby in their womb and no father can do that. When the baby's born, it's a mother's milk and a mother gentle touch that feeds and eases a baby's tears and fears. The father? He's out maybe working for a living, maybe for the children, who knows? But who's home looking after the children? I'm sure we both know the answer to that. I have nothing against fathers of course, I love my Dad and he did what is expected of him to provide for the family, but well, he isn't just my Mom. So maybe we can rephrase your question a little. Let me help you ok? How about, "Can a father take the place of a mother?" Now that's more sensible. Thanks anyway for this discussion, at least you're getting responses from mothers who aren't "so happy" with your line of questioning.... Good luck and God bless you.

10. youdontsay (2012) | 4 months ago | So a man has a bigger brain? That sure doesn't mean they are biologically second to men, only different. [Maybe her brain is smaller because it is more effecient !] Perhaps in your country there are things that women can't do that men can, but here in the U.S. there isn't much a woman can't do. Of course, that doesn't mean she can be a father. She can be a better parent, and even earn more money, than a man. But she still can't be a father. Kids need both male and female influences in their lives, however it doesn't have to be a father. It can be an uncle or a good friend of the family. I'm afraid that many mothers look after their children better than their fathers. That is sad, though. Even in intact families, with both parents living with the children, many men are emotionally distant and unaccessible to their kids. So while they have a father living at home with them, they don't have a male parent who is parenting.
