Do you think the world will end in 2012 like the Myans said?

Either way, I dont think its worth ruining the rest of my life worrying about it. If its true then there's nothing you can do about it so you may as well just make the most of the next 4 years. If it isn't you'll have wasted 4 years of your life worrying. Having said that, any of us could die before that - in which case it won't matter either way to us.

I didn't know that about the Myans calendar. The world as we know it will end someday, but I don't believe in people knowing specific dates. I don't think the planet X thing will come to pass, don't worry about it.

The astronomer Philip Plait has stated very clearly that the Mayan calendar does not end in 2012 at all, that it is like the odometer on your car, as each section of the odometer reaches 9 and then clicks over to 0, the next number to it starts a new cycle, so that when all the numbers again reach 0 all the way across the odometer - the last number will change from 1 to 2 and the new cycle starts all over again.

Whether or not December 21, 2012 marks an immutable cosmological event or not becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy is moot. There is no question that it looms as a very significant moment. What concerns us most, is wanting to know what will happen. At one end of the bell-curve of probabilities is total physical annihilation. At the opposite end is the arrival of the Golden Age we all dream about. Every other conceivable possibility lies between them. Somewhere near the center of the curve most people will find their most probable possibility in which the monumental moment will pass quietly like Y2K and their lives will appear to continue as if nothing happened at all. December 22, 2012 will dawn as clocks continue to tick and the human race continues to move one day closer to whatever future harvest it has sown. That doesn't mean that many other people, who live their lives at the extremities of the curve, won't experience radically different events.

Why would you be scared. I remember this saying when we were in the 90's. The world will be ending in the year 2000 and there were so many persons who went and baptised because they were in fear and believing what those scientist and pastors was saying. Now I am saying do you believe in the bible and its teaching. The bible says no one knows the day nor the hour when God shall arrives. Not even the angels in Heaven knows this. To go even further no even Jesus Christ knows. So how can these persons who are living in sin daily and not repenting can come and tell me that the world will be ending. I think my friend you need to serve God and live the life that he said we should so that the mortal lies will not affect you.

i wouldn't worry to much people have made this prediction in the past and the day came and went and life went along as usual as to planet x who knows maybe some-one in the film industry had a premanition and thought it a good idea for a movie.only time will reveal the answers to these questions.

That is a bit unnerving. However, no one really knows for sure. I think if you spend the next four years worrying about it you will never get anything done. I personally have experienced dreams when I was younger about that time in the future. And it wasn't fun, lol. I'm not saying I predicted anything, but I've learned to be more aware of my surroundings.

I've heard about Nirubu, and I've read that it will be visible in the Southern Hemisphere by the end of next year, so if it's true we'll know by then. I'm not sure what to think about that, at least not until I see proof.

The Mayan calander does not predict the end of the world, rather the end of the cycle of materialism and greed. IMO, that would be a good thing. Another bactan cycles through right after, so I don't see it as an end but as a new beginning. Again, we're just going to have to wait and see.

Either way, there's no point in being scared, there nothing any of us can do about it but to live our lives as good people right now. Nothing may happen at all.

LOL! well, i don't believe in mayans prophecy.,cause we all know that God only knows when would be the end of the world.,so don't be scared guys with this kind of prophecy.,we will definetly go through that stage ., it is in the bible that world will come to an end and there will be a judgement day.,and the only thing we could do in that is to prepared.,Ü
