 My son's birthday is on Friday and he has put in a special request for his gift. He has asked me to make a PUMPKIN PIE. I made one years and years ago but can't remember how to do it and I don't have time to fluff through recipe books.
Can you help me? I need an EASY recipe that doesn't take a lot of mucking about. just a straight forward one would be wonderful.

is to buy a large can of libbys pumpkin and get their
ages old recipe on the can, and buy the necessary
ingredients and follow the recipe and you will have the best pumpkin pie there is a nd your son will absolutely love it. mind you it has to be libbys and in the larger can. you cannot go wrong on that recipe at all.

| 8. fluffnflowers (1356) | 4 months ago |  I'd suggest making it from a can, to be honest. I made it from scratch for years, but I have never been able to make it to where it tasted quite as good from a can, even when I was using home-grown pumpkins.

I looked for canned pumpkin but it seems as though New Zealand does not supply it so I'll have to make the pumpkin pie from scratch I think. I have a friend who is from the USA and I have told her that i am going to be making one for my son's birthday. She and her flatmate are going to pop by to try it out. The will call me on Saturday to see if I made it and if there is any left.
