I got an email from the future today

I get lots of emails from the "past" and they are always Spam. So, since yours came from the "future" I find I must ask, was it Spam mail? Is Spam still around in the year 2038?

I have never recieved an email from the past.
It seems to be a scam.

Yeah, I had a couple show up in my Yahoo inbox. The most notable I had was an offer about a program on weight loss and it was dated 2099. I mean, wow. I'll be 119 years old by then. I definitely won't be able to bench as much as I do now.

Technically, it could very well be a problem with the mail servers. Some servers are left unattended while running but is still monitored from time to time and it gets buggy or wrongly setup.

I used to get those constantly informing me that I (a guy) can naturally increase my bust line, among other things. Some of them, the return address was my own email address, meaning that if I replied to it, I would end up getting the reply instead of whoever REALLY sent the message. I also received emails that were supposedly sent before there was any such thing as email, never mind the internet. Another thing was the way they mis-spelled things in the subject line to make it past spam filters.

One email address I use, it does take a while for the messages sent to it to be received, because it's a website/server email, & it ends up going through several spam filter on steroids.

oh yes, got an e-mail with the same year (2038)as you got only it was in my spam mail. I didn't notice it at first but after a while I realized that it was dated so advance, I know it's a spam mail so I don't bother opening them anymore.

There ought to be a law, you know? Thankfully, most of me email accounts call anything spam that has a future date attached to it. I wonder why they still keep sending them that way?

I've been deleting my own emails lately.:-) When I forward something from my local ISP account to Yahoo, Yahoo has been calling it spam. And since I get about 700 spam emails per day, I don't look at them. So...I've been deleting emails from me. Weird, huh?

Sometimes, I receive something like this. It is either I receive a very lare delivery or dated 1000! that is the weirdest so far!

My yahoo spam folder is filled with 40-50 such spam email from 2038 too. I dunno the significance of this year - 2038, but they are ALL SPAM.
I found it by accident when I checked my spam folder!

I always receive these type of email... but good thing they go straight to my spam mail box... i dare not open them because i fear that they might have a virus, worm, or trojan horse in them... and that would be bad for my laptop... there should be a law against those kind of emails... but even if there is... how can we determine who is responsible for them?...
